Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services and website of Kleen Slate ("Kleen Slate," "we," "us"), a family-owned residential cleaning company located at 1140 N Main St., Orem, UT 84057. By requesting a bid, scheduling a cleaning, or using our website at kleenslate.info, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Kleen Slate provides residential cleaning services in Utah County, including recurring maintenance cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, Fresh Start cleaning, and specialty services such as garage cleaning, patio cleaning, and custom floral arrangements. The specific scope of each service is described on our website and confirmed during your in-home consultation.

3. Bids, Pricing & Estimates

Our rate is $55 per cleaner, per hour, with professional supplies, equipment, and insurance included. Every engagement begins with a complimentary in-home walkthrough and a personalized bid. Bids are good-faith estimates based on the condition and size of your home at the time of the walkthrough; actual time needed may vary if the home's condition differs materially from what was observed. A trip fee applies to homes outside our regular coverage area, and will be disclosed before your service is scheduled.

4. Scheduling, Cancellations & Lockouts

We ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a visit. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service. If we cannot access the home at the scheduled appointment time (a "lockout"), a lock-out fee of 50% of the scheduled service may apply. Emergency situations will be handled with understanding. Custom floral arrangements require 72 hours' notice; orders cancelled inside that window are not refundable once flowers have been purchased.

5. Preparing Your Home & Access

To make the most of your service time, we ask that personal items, clothing, toys, and other clutter be picked up before your appointment. You are responsible for providing safe access to your home at the scheduled time — whether by being present, providing a key or code, or another arrangement. Any access information you share with us is handled per our Privacy Policy.

6. Payment

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed. We accept credit card, check, Venmo, and cash. A credit card on file is required when booking service. Large or specialty cleanings may require a non-refundable deposit to reserve your service date; the deposit is credited toward your cleaning project. A $20 fee applies to returned checks, and we may pause future service on accounts with an unpaid balance until the balance is settled.

7. Specialty Service Limitations

Garage cleaning includes light organization only. We do not:

• Sort through personal belongings;
• Haul away garbage or unwanted items, or donate belongings;
• Dispose of hazardous materials.

Large or heavy items remain in place unless prior arrangements are made. For all services, we reserve the right to decline tasks that are unsafe for our team, including biohazards, mold remediation, pest-related cleanup, and lifting beyond reasonable limits.

8. Satisfaction & Re-Cleans

If something was missed, tell us within 48 hours of your service and we will make it right — typically by returning to re-clean the specific areas at no charge. Refunds, when issued, are at our discretion.

9. Damage, Liability & Insurance

Our team is insured, and we treat your home with great care. If you believe an item was damaged during a service, notify us within 48 hours. We are not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions (including improperly secured fixtures, aged or fragile surfaces, and unstable items), nor for cash, jewelry, or other high-value items left unsecured — we recommend storing these before your visit. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim, except where coverage is available under our insurance.

10. Pets & Safety

We love pets, and we'll follow any instructions you give us for yours. For the safety of our team and your animals, we ask that pets that may be anxious around visitors be secured during your service. Please tell us about any hazards in the home (broken fixtures, security systems, firearms storage, etc.) before your first visit.

11. Our Team

Every member of the Kleen Slate team is background-checked, insured, and trained to our standards. You agree not to directly hire any Kleen Slate employee for private cleaning work during your time as a client and for 12 months afterward without our written consent.

12. Website Use

The content on kleenslate.info — including text, photos, and branding — is owned by Kleen Slate or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our consent. Our site may link to third-party services (such as Google reviews or social media); we are not responsible for their content or practices.

13. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, our services and website are provided "as is," and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
