A true clean slate

Move-In & Move-Out Cleaning Services in Utah County

Moving comes with enough to manage. Our detailed top-to-bottom cleaning gets the home truly ready, before you settle in or after your belongings have moved out, at $55 per cleaner, per hour.

Detailed empty-home cleaning

Best Performed When the Home Is Completely Empty

An empty home gives our team better access to flooring, walls, cabinets, closets, windows, baseboards, appliances, corners, and surfaces that are normally blocked by furniture or belongings. More flooring and baseboards are accessible, inside empty cabinets, drawers, and closets can be cleaned, walls and corners previously hidden by furniture can be reached, and dust and debris left behind during the moving process can be removed.

Every service can be customized based on the home's condition, your priorities, available time, and budget. During the consultation we establish the areas to be cleaned and a realistic estimate of the hours required. If belongings remain, we clean accessible areas to the best of our ability; we do not reorganize or determine where personal belongings should be placed.

We clean houses, but we serve people.

The details, defined

Walls, Ceilings, Windows & Light Fixtures

Walls and accessible ceilings. When needed and appropriate for the surface, we can wet wash walls and accessible ceilings up to approximately 8 feet. This is especially valuable during a move, because furniture removal often reveals fingerprints, pet marks, food splatter, dust, scuffs, and other residue. Some paint finishes, especially flat or damaged paint, may mark or discolor when wet cleaned; permanent staining, paint damage, nail holes, adhesive residue, or drywall damage are not guaranteed to come out. Walls and ceilings above approximately 8 feet are not included.

Windows, sills, and tracks. We clean interior glass, accessible frames, sills, and tracks, and address fingerprints, smudges, pet marks, dust, and debris, wherever windows can be safely reached from the floor or with our standard step ladder.

Light fixtures. Accessible light fixtures are cleaned when safely reachable. High-to-reach lighting, chandeliers, and oversized hanging fixtures are not included; we do not use extension ladders or specialty height-access equipment.

Timing matters

Moving In? Moving Out?

Moving in: whenever possible, schedule your move-in cleaning after the previous occupants have completely moved out and before your belongings are moved in. This gives our team the best access, and gives you a cleaner fresh start before furniture and boxes arrive.

Moving out: for the best results, have furniture, boxes, food, personal belongings, and unwanted items removed before our team arrives. Once the home is empty, we can focus on the detailed areas that become visible after everything has been moved out.

The moving-day opportunity

Appliances, Inside and Out

A move is one of the best opportunities to thoroughly clean appliances, particularly when the home is empty. Inside ovens, inside refrigerators, and inside freezers are cleaned, along with racks, shelves, drawers, doors, and exteriors.

When an appliance can be safely and reasonably moved by our team, it is pulled out so the flooring, walls, and baseboards behind it can be cleaned too.

Appliances also remain in place when moving them could damage flooring, cabinetry, the appliance, or utility connections. Kleen Slate does not disconnect or reconnect appliance utility connections. For the most thorough interior cleaning, refrigerators and freezers should be empty of food and personal items before we arrive; heavy grease, baked-on food, or extensive buildup can require additional time.
